Kaylee Federmann
Kaylee Federmann
Singer-Songwriter
When Kaylee was just ten years old, she found her father’s old guitar in her family’s basement. Two
short years later, he tragically passed away from cancer. In coping with her loss, Kaylee began
teaching herself how to play using her father’s old guitar books. Kaylee spent the next several years
honing her skills and traveling from her home in Boston to Nashville and LA to participate in writing
sessions. In 2020, she gained traction on Tik Tok after posting a video featuring her song “Her Song,”
garnering over half a million views. She went on to release the song, which has now climbed to nearly
two million streams. Kaylee’s next few songs continued to captivate her audience. Catchy melodies and
the infectiousness of her warm personality scored affection from fans. Her subsequent releases
secured her a nomination for Pop Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the Boston Music
Awards, as well as a nomination for Pop Act of the Year at the 2021 New England Music Awards where
she worked with notable producers including Bleu (Demi Lovato, Michelle Branch), Peter Thomas, and
Jake Watt. Kaylee’s dyslexia made school a difficult endeavor. Through music, she fell in love with
storytelling, and when she wrote words for singing, they became friendlier on her eyes. Even so, Kaylee
jokes that her songwriting career is ironic given how often she has to contend with her dyslexia when
writing.
