Will Overman’s music can be best described as a combination of Rock, Country, and Americana, but it's not your typical Country-Americana sound. Sonically it is restless by nature, always searching for something new, and with Will’s heart-worn lyrics and dynamic vocal delivery, it makes for a memorable mixture that is hard to place but easy to love.

I don’t know where I could even begin…
I grew up thinking being a songwriter was only a pipe dream for a quiet midwest 90’s kid, until it quickly became a reality and just as quick, hit me square in the face...hard. Like a puck to the jaw. I had signed a record deal right out of college. I got dropped immediately after one album; the same album that includes the song "Never Come Back Again", which has garnered over 22,000,000 streams on Spotify alone, and was also featured on the hit tv show "Nashville". I had shot myself in the foot and lost a promising publishing deal shortly after moving to Nashville. I went on tour and went so deep in the red, I had to move back home for a time just to settle my debts. I distanced myself and questioned if I was cut out to make music a career. I lost confidence in myself, my writing, and the world. I sat alone for a long time.
But even in the darkest hour, a glimmer of light from the smallest flame can open the floodgates to something much brighter.
Winter of 2019 was my darkest hour, literally and figuratively, as I decided to flee to the shores of Lake of the Woods in northern Minnesota and surrender filling the sandbags of anxiety and sorrow to write what would become my third, and perhaps, most genuine and honest work. Produced by Anthony da Costa and mixed by Dan Knobler, these 13 songs come from a place of maturity and the realization of how fickle and futile the world can be, knowing there's only a limited amount of time to change your life and circumstance. Best not let the feathers fade. Best get to it now. -

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Will began writing songs after picking up the guitar in high school. He quickly built a regional following, and despite taking time to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail and move to Vermont for a semester of college, he capitalized on his move back to Virginia the following spring by forming the Will Overman Band. The Southern Rock ‘n Roll influenced Americana project released two EPs and an LP, playing bar gigs and festival slots (Merlefest, Appaloosa Music Festival, Rooster Walk) up and down the East Coast until in the spring of 2017, when Will graduated from UVA and the band decided to go their separate ways
