John DiResta was dubbed New York's Funniest Cop back in 1993 and turned his twelve miserable years as a New York City Transit cop into the hit off Broadway show BEAT: A Subway Cop's Comedy. The New York Times called it "UPROARIOUS". BEAT was then turned into the Paramount sitcom "DiResta" which ran on the U.P.N. Network.
John has been on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Howie Mandel Show, Politically Incorrect, The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder, The Craig Kilborn Late Show on CBS, and the Howard Stern show. John can also be seen on the big screen. He played in the movie "Mickey Blue Eyes," staring Hugh Grant and James Caan. John plays a cop in the movie "Gloria" with Sharon Stone and instead of a cop in the movie Mrs. Congeniality, John plays an FBI agent along with Sandra Bullock and Benjiman Bratt. David C. Smalley, known as “Reggie” on Nickelodeon's Danger Force, also breaks into homes. For money. Ok, he's also a burglar in Ring security commercials. Being born & raised in Texas didn’t quite make him a redneck; but he has just enough southern charm & college education to connect with audiences on both sides of every fight.
