A Message from Baroness:
“Let me start by saying that the shows on the Your Baroness tour have been truly incredible so far, some of the best we’ve ever played and that is in no small part thanks to all of the fans who have come out after such a long period apart. We’ve been taking every precaution to make sure this tour is done safely and responsibly with a fully vaccinated and consistently masked band and crew and keeping a very close circle, but as we’ve seen throughout the pandemic there is no such thing as a 100% guarantee and I’m deeply saddened to report that members of our touring party tested positive for COVID this morning. The folks who have tested positive are all asymptomatic and feeling great; but for the safety of the band, the crew and the fans we will unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show in Boise, Wednesday’s show in Salt Lake City and Friday’s show in Denver.

We are extremely disappointed that we won’t be able to play these shows as scheduled; but we are going to take the necessary steps to see a speedy return to the stage for the remainder of this tour. This pandemic is something you truly CANNOT fuck around with, no matter how safe you think you are. In order to tour safely we all have to stay vigilant and work together as a music community to help each other out and keep each other safe. We appreciate how much we have asked of our fans, let’s try to continue to do everything we can, together, to keep these venues safe havens for bands, audiences, touring crew and venue staff alike.

Cheers to everyone so far for your responsibility and support, and for bringing us out to your cities… we will see the rest of you shortly!

To Boise, SLC and Denver: we will be saving Your setlists for when we can get back to your town!

    Baroness

    Heavy Metal

Baroness' triumphant new album contains some of the biggest, brightest and most glorious riffs and choruses the adventurous rock group has ever recorded. But its title, Purple, also reflects a dark moment in the group's recent history: the terrifying bus crash they survived while on tour in 2012. "The band suffered a gigantic bruise," singer-guitarist John Baizley says of the accident. "It was an injury that prevented us from operating in a normal way for quite some time. Hopefully, this record is the springboard that helps us get away from all that."

Adams says only recently, since the group has gotten back on the road, he thinks that Baroness has felt like a band again. And now with Purple under their belts, Baroness are ready to take on the world. "There's a lot more playfulness now," Adams says. "Everyone now is positive, there's no heavy bullshit. People are laughing and smiling more now in Baroness than I've ever seen. That's real, and I'm thankful for that." The bruise is beginning to heal.
