  • Greg Wilson

    Greg Wilson

    Country

Greg began singing on stage with bands his father played lead guitar for at the age of 5. His love of music stayed with him throughout his formative years and really blossomed when he discovered songwriting after graduating college. While balancing a career as a teacher, football coach and school administrator, Greg spent the next several years traveling from Louisville, Kentucky to Nashville to play in the various writer venues in Music City. In 2018, his song Music was the winning entry in the Nashville Songwriters Association International Top 40 contest. Greg has placed songs in Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Justified, Heartland, Angel and the movie Wieners.

In 2019, Greg and his wife Michele decided to make the permanent move to Nashville to pursue a career in songwriting. He has quickly become a regular at many of the songwriter venues in Nashville and is also a heavily sought-after collaborator for many of the other writers in town. In 2020, Greg’s song When I’m a Memory won song of the year in the Online Pitch category of NSAI’s first ever Member Awards. Greg’s influence of traditional country, coupled with his “high lonesome” sounding bluegrass voice, shine through in each of the songs he writes today. He has a unique ability to make traditional country music sound relevant and fresh for today’s market.

In 2024, Greg signed a publishing deal with Steve Bloch Music and is positioned to see a number of songs recorded by major artists in the near future. So, if you love music, real honest music, with heartfelt lyrics, just take a listen and you will no doubt become a fan.
