Hailing from the furthest reaches of Texas (West, North, and South to be precise ), Casper Allen left home early in search of experience, and, years later, his search continues. Detailing his experiences in the Texas songwriting tradition of his heroes Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, with a raw and aggressive bluesy vocal styling reminiscent of the Texas bluesmen Freddie King and Albert Collins, Allen explores themes of addiction, life on the road, and the ups and downs of a life well-traveled with a style developed busking on street corners and playing in dirty bars across the greater U.S.

After years of singing accompanied only by his own guitar, Allen has built a strong performing catalog of original songs and hidden gems of the American songbook.

He spent several years accompanying Lost Dog Street Band as the opening act on their U.S. tours prior to the COVID-19 epidemic and embarked on several solo tours of the states performing with artists like Ryan Bingham, Vincent Neil Emerson, Matt Heckler, Arlo McKinley and countless others.

He released the full length Volume 1 in August of 2020, followed by The Magnolia Sessions in February of 2021. Following the COVID-related cancellation of his scheduled performances, Allen found himself in both a legal battle with the State of Texas, related to his past life as a street criminal and addict and a separate legal battle between himself and his former management. Fortunately, Allen has come out on the other side with a new set of songs, a record on the way, a fruitful collaboration with videographer Patrick Lewey, and a newfound wealth of the wisdom that experience and sobriety bring.

Currently residing in Colorado with his ol’ lady and a young daughter, he enjoys a newfound stability, a good cigarette, a long walk in the woods with his dogs Hank and Clyde, and chicken, generally of the fried variety.

    Folk

MATT HECKLER is a solo multi-instrumentalist that barely fits into any ordinary musical category. He tends to keep to the darker side of Appalachian mountain music and early bluegrass but listen long enough and you’ll soon be transported to the mountains of Eastern Europe or a dimly lit bar in Ireland where they honor those who have passed with a gently swaying a cappella ballad.

Hayden Karchmer, known by his moniker The Hill Country Devil, is a Texas-raised songwriter whose music embodies raw honesty and unflinching reality. With a life marked by both intense highs and gut-wrenching lows—including a period of homelessness—Karchmer channels his experiences into songs that resonate with desperation and profound emotion. His work is a reflection of a nomadic existence, having lived in places as diverse as Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Colorado, and New York. Each song captures a piece of his journey, blending compelling storytelling with a soulful voice and a deft touch on the guitar. Karchmer’s music doesn’t just tell stories; it compels listeners to feel every nuance of his experiences, making him a truly remarkable artist in the world of songwriting.
