They said it couldn’t be done. Four different songwriters joining forces to form a single

band? There was simply no precedent (outside of CSNY, The Beatles, The Traveling

Wilburys, The Highwaymen, Monsters of Folk, etc). And yet Fantastic Cat did it anyway,

defying the odds and teaming up to record their highly unanticipated 2022 debut, The

Very Best Of Fantastic Cat. Hailed by Rolling Stone as "a wildly satisfying collection of

folk-rock, country, Americana, and good old rock & roll" that offers “equal doses of Dylan

and Springsteen,” the album earned the vocal-trading, instrument-swapping collective

their national TV debut, sold-out headline dates around the US and Europe, festival

performances everywhere from Sundance to Take Root, and a song in the Showtime

series Tulsa King. In 2023, the unlikely four-piece teamed up with all-star producer Butch

Walker for a 50th anniversary take on Wings’ “Band On The Run,” which prompted even

more love from Rolling Stone, who dubbed them “the Harlem Globetrotters of

Americana.”

Individually, each member of Fantastic Cat boasts their own impressive resume along

with a litany of critical acclaim. Paste declared Don DiLego’s latest album a

“stunner.” NPR said Anthony D’Amato “sings and writes in the tradition of Bruce

Springsteen or Josh Ritter.” Rolling Stone called Brian Dunne’s new record “the sleeper

album of the year” and praised Mike Montali’s band, Hollis Brown, as “the soundtrack

for a late-night drive through the American heartland.” Collectively, though, the four

transcend their respective roots, emerging as velvet-clad rock and roll cooperative far

greater than the sum of its parts.

They say some cats are born fantastic; others have fantasy thrust upon them. These guys

are somewhere in the middle.

Meaghan was born into music and performing. Hailing from Harrisburg Pennsylvania, her parents performed in community theater and her dad taught music and theater for 30 + years.

Meaghan would make her stage debut at 10 years old and continue performing throughout high school, eventually landing in New York City. There she studied Drama at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After School, Meaghan performed in a sketch comedy group for several years, but most of her 20s were spent on drugs and alcohol.

Meaghan woke up one morning and realized her addiction was taking away her life and talent. At 28 years old, Meaghan quit alcohol and drugs cold turkey, and within one month was writing songs for the very first time. And that was that.

Meaghan went on to release her very first album “Waitress” and two EP’s “Seeing Clearly Now” & “East Coast Girl”. Meaghan then had another life-changing moment when she faced mental health struggles of depression and anxiety. Those struggles led her to leave NYC after sixteen years and follow her newly opened eyes and heart all the way to Nashville, TN.

Nashville brought long awaited peace and inspiration to her life. Now writing from a whole new place, and making new and lasting artistic friendships, Meaghan would go on to write her second full length album “Conversations with Myself” produced by the massively talented Dan & Nate Monea.

After writing and living from a place of gratitude and joy, Meaghan began touring and making a name for herself on the road - performing on The Rock Boat three years in a row and hopping on tours with artists and bands like Red Wanting Blue, Will Hoge and Leah Marlene. And the songs kept on coming!

Her latest album “Motherland” was released in August 2024. Produced once more by Dan & Nate Monea, along with a special guest producer, Will Hoge. This hauntingly truthful and symphonic record proves to her fans that Meaghan is still “keeping it weird” and continues to be a safe space for ALL who come to see her perform.

“To all my weirdos and all my freaks…..You are the heroes. WILD & FREE.” -MF

Keep an eye on this beautifully brave artist as she continues to leave her mark on the independent music scene.
