    Singer/songwriter Benita Hill has had her songs  recorded in nearly all genres of music-country,rock, pop, jazz, gospel,Broadway and musical theater. As a recording artist, she has released seven CDs of her original music to outstanding critical reviews. She has toured as a background singer with the Allman Brothers, J.J.Cale, Conway Twitty and many others. Hers is the voice  of  "Santa Baby" for the international Jaguar Automobiles television commercial. Her songs have been recorded by Isaac Hayes, Crystal Gayle, Kirk Whalum and Garth Brooks,including the two  number one hits "It's Your Song" and  "Two Pina Coladas"; and a song she co-wrote with Garth titled "Weekend" which appears on his 2016 platinum selling album "Gunslinger" as well as his multi-platinum selling boxed set "The Ultimate Collection".

     
    Benita's self-produced documentary, "The Healing Power Of A Song" has been broadcast on public television and on the Blue Highways cable television network. Her recent work includes co-writing six songs for the international movie musical "Cooking For Two" which premiered in Hong Kong and has been touring the international film festival circuit ; her newest album of original, modern torch songs called NOIR establishes her range as a modern and timeless songwriter and artist of depth, humor and insight. 
     
    Benita is passionate about yoga and healthy eating. As a certified yoga instructor, she has taught a popular class at the YMCA; and her recipes were included in Trisha Yearwood's New York Times number-one best selling cookbook, Trisha's Table. She also enjoys meeting aspiring songwriters through her work as a mentor at the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Her songs have been recorded by Alabama, Conway Twitty (#1 hit "I Want To Know You Before We Make Love"), George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Glen Campbell, Wanda Jackson, John Anderson, Janie Fricke, Lacy J Dalton, Moe Bandy, Shelly West, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Jane Oliver, Ken Mellons, Charly McClain, Johnny Bush, Demi Lovato, Kristin Chenoweth, Scotty McCreery, Home Free and The Cherokee National Youth Choir. Yates also co-wrote the George Jones classics, “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair” and the Grammy-
    award winning, “Choices”.

    A seasoned entertainer, Billy Yates also tours Europe extensively where he was recently named the European CMA Male Vocalist of the Year. With 13 number 1 singles on the European charts. Here at home, Yates has been featured on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry 50 times and has also appeared on TV shows such as Larry’s Country Diner and Country’s Family Reunion. In addition, Billy holds the distinct honor of being one of the first American artists to perform in China's former Capitol city, Xian. He is also the first American artist to be featured on the popular Irish TV documentary, Opry an luir and is the first American artist to record in the traditional Irish Gaelic language.

    As a record producer, Yates has produced a number of major European and Australian artists, plus a few US artists including country music legend, Charley Pride's last record, "Music in My Heart".

    Yates was recently honored by his home state of Missouri as they named a stretch of federal highway that runs through his hometown the "Billy Yates Highway."

• If you are a “no show”, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the $12.00 minimum for each seat in your reservation.
• Ticket reservations are for your personal use. They are NOT transferrable and NOT for resale! We perform random I.D. checks and the name on the reservation must match the name on the I.D.
• Please call (615-383-1461) or email (info@bluebirdcafe.com) to cancel your reservation AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. PLEASE NOTE if your reservations are for a Saturday or Sunday evening show, you need to cancel by 9:00 a.m. the Friday before or risk being charged.
• Attendees are expected to show up by the start of the show for which they have tickets. Seats that are unclaimed once the show has started will be seated from the walk-up line.
• Performers are subject to change.
• Bar seats are only for customers 21 years of age or older.
• Any guest under the age of 18 must be seated with a parent or guardian.
• We require accessible seat requests to be made two weeks in advance of the show date for guaranteed accessible seats. For those wanting to park, we have a small lot directly in front of the cafe and a larger gravel lot behind the cafe. To access our gravel lot, please use the alley entrance on Hillsboro Pike next to AT&T. Please do not utilize our neighbors’ parking lots, as they enforce towing and do NOT park at AT&T. All guests must enter and check in through our main entrance on Hillsboro Pike.
• For the safety and comfort of all our guests, Bluebird Cafe management has the right to refuse service to anyone who is aggressive, hostile or appears to be intoxicated.
