    Doug Johnson

    Country

Whether it’s behind the pen as the writer of record-breaking hits like the Billboard “Song of the Year,” Love Like Crazy (Lee Brice) or the CMA, ACM, CCMA and NSAI “Song of the Year,” Three Wooden Crosses, (Randy Travis), at the console as the producer of artists like Lee Brice, Hank Jr., Clay Walker and John Michael Montgomery, or behind the desk helming an A&R department, Doug Johnson knows his way around a hit.

Throughout his 30-plus year career as a songwriter, Johnson has had over 100 cuts, including 7 Number One Hits and 10 Top 10’s by everyone from Bertie Higgins and Alicia Bridges to George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Wynonna and Kenny Rogers, among others. Johnson made history when he broke a country music record with artist Lee Brice with the hit, Love Like Crazy, which spent an amazing 56 weeks on the charts.

His production credits are equally notable as well: as VP/A&R for Epic Records in the early 90’s, he oversaw the careers of Patty Loveless, Collin Raye, Doug Stone, Joe Diffie, Ty Herndon, the Sons of the Desert and many others. He later moved to Giant Records as President, where he guided the careers of Clay Walker, The Wilkinsons, Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols and Neal McCoy among others.

Following his time at Giant Records, Johnson lead the A&R department of Curb Records, whose roster included Tim McGraw, Leann Rimes, Wynonna, Hank Jr, Rodney Atkins, Lee Brice, Clay Walker and Heidi Newfield, among others.

In 2012, Doug Johnson joined the team at Black River Entertainment as the V.P. of A&R and is currently working with the artist roster of Kelsea Ballerini, Abby Anderson, Carolina Story, Hannah Kerr and Josh Wilson.

  • Janelle Arthur

    Janelle Arthur

    Country

Janelle is no stranger to the spotlight.  She began performing at Dollywood when she was 8 years old portraying one of her musical heroes, a young Dolly Parton.  From that time and thousands of shows later, she has had the opportunity to be a guest on The Today Show, The Kelly & Michael Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Access Hollywood, and Today in Nashville. Thanks to her loyal followers, her social media fan base is now around 150,000 on combined social media networks.

As an entertainer, Janelle has had the pleasure of opening shows for or performing with: Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Craig Morgan, and The Band Perry.  Her lifetime dream to perform on the world-famous “Grand Ole Opry” became a reality on June 19, 2013, and she has been a repeated guest many times since then.

As a daughter of the South steeped in family ties, tradition, and truthfulness, Janelle Arthur’s music is reflective of who she is and exemplifies her way of life.  As evidence in “Love You Anyway,” a compelling song written by Arthur (featuring multi-Grammy award winner Vince Gill) is honest, persuasive, and real.  Her self-titled debut EP including this collaboration is available on Spotify and iTunes.

Janelle made her big screen debut with her first feature film role as the star of the Runnin’ From My Roots along with Janine Turner, Leigh Allyn Baker, Patrick Muldoon, Nia Sioux, and playing her mom in the film, country’s own… Deana Carter.  The film was released world-wide December 11, 2018.  “Runnin’ From My Roots,” the lead single and title track of the film is one of five songs co-written by Arthur, and featured on the accompanying soundtrack (produced by Deana Carter) for the faith-based drama.  The accompanying video was the single most viewed video on CMT.com at its debut and was the number 1 video in the CMT Music 12 Pack for 6 out of the 9 weeks that it aired.

Janelle Arthur has proven to be one of the most promising multi-dimensional entertainers since Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire with her inherent ability to connect with audiences through film, television, and live shows.  She moved to Nashville to pursue her passion for songwriting and plans to create music for the rest of her life.  Janelle is looking forward to releasing new music and performing more shows on the road this year.
