Ms. Prouxl invites you to a wonderful evening of music! Maya will be joined onstage by the John Proulx Trio featuring Alex Frank on bass and Tatá Batera on drums, along with very special guests.
The night will feature jazz standards, Brazilian tunes, classical, folk, and originals.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Maya Proulx has been performing piano, viola, and writing her own songs since she was four years old. She picked up guitar during the pandemic and has found a deep love for Brazilian, Spanish, jazz, and classical guitar. She was recently named a 2024 YoungArts winner with distinction in Jazz Voice and was nominated to apply for the US presidential scholar in the arts, the highest honor of the organization. She’s always loved writing music and has composed for the Pasadena Chorale, written music for various short films, and is working on a piece with Brightwork ensemble’s high school composing initiative.
In March, she will be singing among one of 14 people in ACDA’s jazz honor choir and was also named one of the JEXA award’s young scholars in 2024.
