Jason Stewart, an acclaimed bassist and composer from the heart of New Orleans, has become a pillar in the modern jazz scene with his innovative style and deep respect for tradition. His dynamic career includes over a decade-long collaboration with the legendary Ellis Marsalis, performing in Marsalis’s trio, quartet, and quintet from 2007 to 2020. Jason’s artistry has also graced the stages alongside jazz luminaries such as Delfeayo Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Steve Masakowski, and Terence Blanchard. These experiences, combined with his innate ability to blend the vibrant rhythms of New Orleans with contemporary influences, have solidified his reputation as one of jazz’s most versatile performers.

As the leader of the Jason Stewart Quintet, he continues to captivate audiences with a lineup of some of the finest musicians in the industry. Drawing on his collaborations with icons like Leroy Jones, Wendell Brunious, Shannon Powell, and Mulgrew Miller, Stewart has cultivated a style that honors jazz’s rich legacy while pushing its boundaries. Known for their improvisational brilliance and seamless chemistry, the Quintet delivers an electrifying mix of original compositions and reimagined classics. Kind Reminder:  Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime. 

Due to our intimate venue's limited seating capacity, advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to guarantee seats for this acclaimed show!

Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
