Brazil, February 2025. At 26 years old, Luísa Sonza has accumulated impressive achievements. The artist has more than 3 billion streams across platforms, top 50 worldwide on Spotify, 7 diamond, 5 platinum and 5 gold records.
Luísa was nominated for a 2024 Latin Grammy in the categories of Best Song in the Portuguese Language with ‘Chico’ and Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language with “Escândalo Íntimo”, an album that has already reached the mark of more than 1 billion streams.
Released in August 2023, “Escândalo Íntimo” won the title of most listened to album on Spotify Brasil and placed Luísa as one of the only Brazilian pop artists present in the platform’s Global ranking.
“Penhasco 2”, a track with Demi Lovato, reached the first position among the most listened to songs on Spotify in Brazil, making the two the first artists in history to debut a song with 2 million streams on the platform in the country.
Luísa Sonza also placed all the songs from “Escândalo Íntimo” in the TOP 50 of the music platform, with 6 of them in the TOP 10. In addition, 3 songs entered the Global Top 200, with “Penhasco 2”, “Campo de Morango” and “A Dona Aranha”. In Portugal, “Penhasco 2” debuted at number 10 and “Escândalo Íntimo” became the biggest debut for a Brazilian pop album. On Apple Music, the artist occupied the entire Top 18 on the platform and “Escândalo Íntimo” was the most listened to album. On Deezer, all tracks debuted in the Top 50, with "Penhasco 2" in first position.
Inspired by one of the most listened to genres in the world, bossa nova, the song ‘Chico’ reached first place on Spotify Brazil and 27th position in the global ranking. In total, the track has already received more than 83 million combined streams (video and audio) around the world and achieved the diamond seal in Brazil (when a track reaches 600 thousand streams).
Third album in Luísa Sonza's career, “Escândalo Íntimo” brings a more mature and conceptual artistic work. With 24 tracks, the album features national and international collaborations with renowned artists, such as Demi Lovato, Marina Sena, Baco Exu do Blues and Duda Beat. Reflecting a journey within the artist, the album, produced in Los Angeles, was reinforced by names such as Roy Lenzo, producer of records such as Montero, by Lil Nas X, and Tommy Brown, who has produced hits for artists such as Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Blackpink.
“Escândalo Íntimo” also gave life to a short film. Directed by Diego Fraga and text by Guilherme Ashcar, adapted by Luísa, the short film ‘Escândalo Íntimo – O Filme’ is narrated by the artist herself and tells a love story that intertwines with the character’s journey of maturity.
Today, Luísa has more than 8.3 million subscribers on her channel, with more than 70 million followers on her digital platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Spotify and Tik Tok).
