AEG Presents
Panchiko
with
Allison’s Halo
and
Clinic Stars
-
Panchiko is beginning to settle into rockstar life. It’s different from how the UK band imagined it when they were teens, crafting ethereal, at times cosmic bits of heart-forward rock music to little outside interest, playing shows to nearly empty rooms. They set aside their hopes of becoming full-time musicians and pursued other careers. Their high school artistry became a distant memory. But that all changed in 2016 when an internet user discovered Panchiko’s discarded 2000 demo CD, D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, in a Nottingham charity shop and posted it to 4chan to intrigue and fanfare. It took four years for Panchiko’s legions of dedicated fans to find the people behind the music, but when they did, Panchiko’s long let-go-of dreams became an imperative to pursue. Millions of curious listeners were swaying to their adolescent creations; it was time for them to meet their moment.

Alison’s Halo was formed in Tempe, Arizona during the fall of 1992 by Catherine Cooper (Vocals/Guitar), Adam Cooper (Guitar), David Rogers (Bass/vocals) and Roger Brogan (Drums/Percussion). Within months of formation the band burst onto the local scene and immediately began securing shows with national acts (The Verve, Ultra Vivid Scene, Curve, The Boo Radleys, Stereophonics, Medicine, Lovesliescrushing, Bailter Space and many others) as well as being invited to perform at numerous music festivals around the country.
The Dozen/Calendar single was released by the legendary Independent Project Records in 1995 to wonderful national reviews and extensive college radio airplay. The single’s beautiful blend of chiming guitar noise and Catherine’s breathtaking melodies perked many an ear and led to the band loading up the van and heading out for a successful string of tour dates around the country.
Their debut full-length, Eyedazzler, was recorded to various 2, 4, & 8 porta-studio cassettes from 1992-1996 and released on Detroit’s Burnt Hair Records in 1998. This stunning collection of songs has only grown in popularity since its original release and has been ranked among the top shoegaze and dreampop records from the golden eras of both genres.

Clinic Stars are a Detroit based duo composed of Christian Molik and Giovanna Lenski. Formed in 2019, the pair began recording in their home studio, eventually self-releasing their first two EPs, 10,000 Dreams (2021) and April’s Past (2022).
Drawing inspiration from slowcore, dreampop, and alternative bands of the 80’s and 90’s, Clinic Stars aim to reflect musically the warmth of the natural world and the nostalgia of days gone by. Their debut album, Only Hinting, was released via kranky in September 2024.
