Suckling at their core are driven by the union of Brett Bradford’s (Scratch Acid) renowned signature guitar sound and Win Wallace’s (Gorch Fock) highly menacing and brutal bass ...where beautiful warmth and screeching meets gnawing and sawing with entangled punk rock sensibilities. They write riffs of the highest caliber with intricate arrangements, but always integrated organically without ever sounding unnecessarily mathy.
Add to that the pained rocker wailings of Ezra Reynolds’ vocals and his early 70’s-inspired keyboards that often bring big Deep Purple energy to the mix, along with the masterful rhythmic pounding of Joey Hook’s drums which are at times magnificently angular but also straightforward when called for.
Suffice to say these guys are all PLAYERS, each with their own impressive résumés, which makes for a fantastic, never-a-dull-moment band.
Highly recommend you go get brutalized by them live next chance ya get.
