New Orleans' Sweet Magnolia plays original songs that blend the genres of a powerhouse New Orleans brass with the earworms of pop music. Their songs are a rare combination of female storytelling in the brass medium -- unapologetically sassy, infectiously fun, and bold. Last year they were one of 10 bands to win a national award from the South Arts Jazz Roads Tours Foundation.
