Live Nation Presents:
The Wildwoods with August Lee Stevens
-
In the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, The Wildwoods, a folk/Americana trio led by Noah and Chloe Gose, alongside bassist Andrew Vaggalis, deliver a musical journey through the soul of American roots. With accolades ranging from international songwriting competitions to standing ovations at festivals like Summerfest and FreshGrass, their latest release, "Foxfield Saint John" (2023), solidifies them as a force in the folk scene
-
August Lee Stevens is an emerging Bay Area based musician and singer-songwriter with an atmospheric range of Indie Soul and Folk. Her dynamic sound merges the lyrical rawness and simplicity of Folk songs with the melodies and vocals of Neo Soul. A lover of storytelling, she uses music to paint a landscape in which she embodies authentic expression. Her music showcases the strength that comes from vulnerability and through the process of writing hopes to gain a deeper understanding of herself with each written lyric.
This past summer August completed recording her debut EP with Women’s Audio Mission (WAM), as part of the Local Sirens series. The project Better Places is out now and available everywhere.
The release of her first song ‘Senses’ was met with excitement and was featured on stations across the US including KQED, KZSC, and KDVS.
Senses is the first song she wrote after taking a long break from music. “It follows the fragility of a former relationship and how I felt like I could only be part of myself. It’s the culmination of all the emotions I wanted to express finally exploding to the surface. I had to make the decision to either shut them off entirely or speak my truth and accept the outcome.”
