Timmy Brown is a singer/songwriter/Nashville recording artist that grew up in Norton, Massachusetts, and in October 2018, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dreams full time. In 2017, Brown was voted New England Country Music's Local Male Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year. His infectious energy and talent have made him a local favorite, around the New England and Rhode Island area. In the fall of 2017, he auditioned for “American Idol,” for Season 1 of the re-boot on their new network ABC, where he finished in the top 60!
Timmy started playing the piano at the age of five and ever since then, music became his life. Once he graduated from high school, he began playing solo shows at local events and restaurants. Throughout that time, he had auditioned for television shows such as “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent” and "American Idol." It was at his third audition when he was selected to be on Season 14 of American Idol. Shortly after his audition, he was approached by members of a local country band Black Diamond and was asked to become the lead singer. Since then Black Diamond has now changed to the Timmy Brown Band. His love of music is most evident when on that stage performing. Timmy’s natural ability to connect with the audience and draw them in with his enthusiasm has earned him a loyal fan base.
In April 2016, Timmy’s debut EP “Leave This Town” was released. “Leave This Town” is not the typical first release by an unsigned artist. The tracks are very well written. The recordings done at Sound Emporium and Blackbird in Nashville features a production "A Team" of players and engineers that are more commonly found on artists such as Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, or Blake Shelton. That team provided the perfect soundscape for an impressive voice and performance that an artist the caliber of Timmy Brown can lay down, and lay it down he did. Timmy’s first single “Lil Bit” was released on iTunes April 18th, 2016 and made its way to the top 100 charts on iTunes that day. The song “Fly Away” also on the EP is one that is near and dear to his heart. This song was written for his grandma that passed away. She was his best friend but also a huge influence on his decision to pursue music and follow his dream. Listening to this song, you can feel the emotion and love he had for her. All of Timmy's songs from the EP are available to download on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. Many of his songs have been featured on 101.7 The Bull and 102.5 WKLB.
His past accomplishments include opening for Kane Brown, Cam, LANCO, Dustin Lynch, Lindsey Ell, Granger Smith, Jerrod Niemann, Frankie Ballard, Michael Ray, William Michael Morgan, Aaron Watson, Jack Michelson, Dylan Scott, Love and Theft, Wynonna Judd, Chase Rice, Michael Tyler, Mitchell Tenpenny, High Valley, Easton Corbin, Uncle Kracker, Jimmie Allen, Chase Bryant, Kip Moore and Clare Dunn.
