AEG Presents
Tropidelic with Bumpin Uglies, The Quasi Kings and Ubi of Ces Cru

  • Tropidelic

    Tropidelic

    Reggae

A musical lighthouse, shining a resilient light for everyone that has had to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, Tropidelic has arrived on the national stage. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, a city rich in character and music history, this six-piece performance powerhouse carves their own path with an independent mentality. Front man Roads, explores feelings more than sounds, seeing where the emotional travel can take him, while valuing being comfortable and honest.

There is a sense of seeing where the music can go on their 2024 new album. As an everyman-band making music to overcome life’s obstacles, the “goals” that Tropidelic made when starting the band have all been surpassed. Roads says of the band’s future, “I’m nose to the grindstone. It’s going great and I am going to keep going.”

  • Bumpin Uglies

    Bumpin Uglies

    R&B

Bumpin Uglies' new album, Lyrics Over Everything, hits all the right notes and then some. With 14 tracks of reggae-punk-ska brilliance coupled with a hint of folksy bluegrass, this Annapolis-based band showcases their unique sound, drawing on influences from every corner of the musical universe. Whether it’s the introspective musings of “Underdog” or the infectious energy of “Passion Is Contagious,” the album is a testament to their DIY ethos and relentless dedication.

Lyrics Over Everything includes a track of the same name. Released earlier this year, this single is a heady mix of heartfelt lyricism and driving beats, featuring another Maryland native, Joey Harkum. Hardesty's vocal delivery is raw and unapologetic, a perfect fit for the song’s theme of prioritizing authenticity over superficiality. This track supports the tone for an album that is both introspective and outwardly rebellious.

  • The Quasi Kings

    The Quasi Kings

    Reggae

Formed in Columbus, OH in the Spring of 2016, the The Quasi Kings have quickly “cemented [their] place as the sprawling, multi-instrumental next generation of Columbus reggae.” (Columbus Dispatch). The band, led by brothers Zach (vocals, saxophone, percussion) & Benny Coleman (vocals, bass), varies in age, musical backgrounds, and taste, leading to a worldly & distinctive collage. Their premier offering, 2018’s Throwaway Culture EP, features catchy hooks, tight vocal harmonies, and a unique blend of reggae, rock, and hip-hop. Their latest album, Eye of the Storm, takes things a step further with songs like “Booze”, a raucous Sabbath inspired tune, and the dubby, horn driven “Cut It Out”. Their live shows are high energy, captivating and ever-evolving. The Quasi Kings have had the privilege to play with the likes of Stick Figure, Rebelution, Sublime, Steel Pulse, Tropidelic, Badfish, Fortunate Youth, Third World, Israel Vibration, Dark Star Orchestra & more. • Ubi of Ces Cru

    Ubi of Ces Cru

    Hip-Hop/Rap

Ubi (you-bee-eye) is an underground rap artist who works out of Kansas City, MO. A soloist, who is also widely known as Ubiquitous from his catalog and decade-plus run in the duo CES Cru, is now fully INDEPENDENT. A few dozen collaborations with Strange Music flagship artist Tech N9ne gained him national recognition and underground respect. As an ex-signee of Tech's legendary label with over a dozen national tours under his belt, he is no stranger to the live stage. On Under Bad Influence, the first and only LP of his Strange tenure, his undeniable presence was established. But wait until you see what's next.... Now venturing out on his own, the style and approach that has made him a staple of the Strange Music sound is evolving. Loaded with dense rhymes schemes, barbed social commentary, and a melodic delivery, Ubi takes his rock solid foundation and builds on it with an untold vision of the future to come.
